Tierra del Fuego National Park Trekking & Canoeing

About This Experience
This is an active day in Tierra del Fuego National Park for groups of up to 10. After hotel pickup in Ushuaia, a 30-minute drive brings you into the park, and the rest of the eight hours is split between hiking, lunch and a paddle on the rivers. Guiding is in English and Spanish. The tour averages 4.7 out of 5 from 77 reviews, and reviewers often mention the guides, the lunch and the canoe section.
The morning goes to about three hours of hiking on trails of medium difficulty, where mountains rise close to the sea and rivers and lakes sit next to the coast. A reasonable level of fitness helps. One reviewer found the walking could have been more demanding, so hikers after a hard trek may want to look elsewhere; the park's longer trails, such as the 8 km Senda Costera, open only from November to April.
Lunch with drinks is served in a sheltered dining dome near the Lapataia River, out of the wind and rain, with about an hour and a half to eat. Then you pull on the rubber boots, overpants and life jacket provided and board a stable inflatable canoe. For about an hour you follow the slow current of the Lapataia and Ovando rivers down to Lapataia Bay, watching fresh water give way to the sea.
The End of the World Train does not feature on this itinerary. The national park entry fee is paid on site and is not included: ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors since 1 June 2026. The tour is not suitable for children under 5, pregnant women or people with limited mobility, and cruise passengers need a private service in place of the shared departure. Pack warm clothes, a windbreaker and spare socks. The price is $184 per person.

Extraordinary experience! Really interesting trekking into the nature, good lunch and amazing canoa tour. We highly recommending! Frasco was a super guide: he explained us many things about the nature and the culture of Tierra del fuego and even more. Thanks to him and to Joaco, best driver 😊
