The group splits at the start. Travelers on the train option spend about an hour on the End of the World Train, while those on the park-only option take a guided walk of about an hour on the Senda del Turbal, a peat-bog trail, so nobody waits around at the station. One recent reviewer who rode the train said the stops before it were the high point and found the ride itself slow, which makes the walk a fair choice if the park is your main interest.

Once the group is back together, the tour spends around 30 minutes each at Lapataia Bay, where Ruta Nacional 3 ends, Lake Roca (now officially Lake Acigami) and Ensenada Zaratiegui, plus a 30-minute break at the Alakush Visitor Center. In winter the road to Ensenada Zaratiegui can close for safety and that stop may be dropped. The post office there is often closed, so treat it as a photo stop.

The End of the World Train ticket comes with the train option only. For an 8 October 2026 departure that option was $124 per person, and the park-only option was not bookable on that date, although it is listed from $50 on other days. The national park entry fee is extra on both options: ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors since 1 June 2026. Cruise passengers are asked to send their ship's arrival and departure times after booking. Luggage and large bags are not allowed on board.
