Yes. The park is about 11 km from Ushuaia, so a half-day tour of 4.5 to 6 hours covers the main sights: the Beagle Channel shore, Lake Acigami and Lapataia Bay. For the classic sights, about half a day. A tour is the simplest option, with hotel pickup, a guide and no need to plan transport inside the park. On your own you can take a park minibus from Avenida Maipú and Juana Fadul or drive a rental car, and stay as long as you like. Either way you pay the park entry, ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors. About 30 minutes by tour van on our top pick; some listings allow 45 minutes because the van collects other passengers first. The End of the World Train station is 8 km from central Ushuaia, the park gate about 11 km, and Lapataia Bay about 20 km. Inside the park the speed limit is 40 km/h, so the drive between stops is slower than the distances suggest.

After pickup the van heads west on Route 3, often stopping first at the End of the World Train station, where riders with the train option board. Inside the park the usual stops are Ensenada Zaratiegui on the Beagle Channel, Lake Acigami, sometimes the Alakush visitor center, and Lapataia Bay at the end of Route 3. Ensenada Zaratiegui is often closed in winter, and the post office there is often shut.

The lunch tours run about six hours for up to 10 people and skip the train. Yes for families and beginners. The walks are short, mostly on flat ground with some uneven natural surfaces, and children up to 6 enter the park free. For reduced mobility, one Viator half-day tour is listed as wheelchair accessible, and the train has adapted carriages if you give notice. The lunch tour is not recommended for children aged 3 and under, and families with children under 4 must book the private option.

Most half-day tours last 4.5 to 6 hours from pickup to drop-off. Exact start times usually appear only in the booking calendar, and the operator confirms your pickup the day before. Morning departures are the most common. The lunch tour collects you around 8 am, and one tour is sold for mornings only. If you add the train, your pickup is set to match a train departure.

Standard tours give about 30 minutes at each main stop, enough for short walks such as the Lapataia boardwalk or a stretch of the Lake Acigami shore, and several include free time at the Alakush visitor center, which has a café. Rarely. Several operators say their tours run in all weather, and the End of the World Train runs every day of the year, cancelling only in extreme conditions. Weather in Ushuaia changes fast and snow is common from June to September, so warm, waterproof layers are needed in every month. Some stops can change in winter, when the road to Ensenada Zaratiegui may close.

That is tight for the park. Shore excursions to the park run about 4 to 5 hours, and one pier-pickup tour starts 45 to 60 minutes after your ship arrives. With 3 to 4 hours, a short tour timed to your ship is the only safe way to see the park, and you should check its return time against your all-aboard time before booking. Some operators list both morning and afternoon slots, so check the booking calendar for your date. Morning tours are more common, because they leave the afternoon free for a Beagle Channel boat trip. In winter the park is open from 9:00 to 18:00, so an afternoon tour has less daylight than in summer, when the park stays open until 20:00 or 21:00.
